ZB Savoy is a California-based singer-songwriter working at the intersection of Americana and country, blending old-school grit with modern storytelling. Influenced by writers like Willie Nelson, Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, and Zach Bryan, his songs are rooted in life on the road — shaped by miles of American highway and the people met along the way.
Savoy’s songwriting is informed by deep family ties to California’s ranching community, grounding his work in themes of place, responsibility, and lived experience. His music carries a timeless country feel while remaining firmly present-day, prioritizing strong narratives, melodic restraint, and emotional honesty.
Before stepping fully into his role as an artist, Savoy spent the 2000s in Los Angeles working as a writer, producer, and recording engineer with an eclectic roster that included Melissa Auf der Mar (Hole), Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), The Black Eyed Peas, 311, and country legend Tim McGraw. That background continues to inform both his songwriting and his reputation for assembling and leading an exceptional live band.
Savoy performs more than 200 shows a year, delivering dynamic, high-level performances whether appearing solo or with his full band. His live shows are musically driven, engaging, and unpretentious — marked by a comfortable stage presence, strong band chemistry, and a genuine connection with audiences. While his original material anchors the set, Savoy can seamlessly weave in classic country and modern Americana favorites when appropriate, making him a natural fit for festivals, theaters, and opening slots for national touring acts.
Recent performance highlights include opening for Ryan Bingham in San Luis Obispo, Elle King at Humphreys by the Bay, Charley Crockett and Cody Jinks at Gallagher Square, along with appearances at Fiesta del Sol, multiple nights at one of the world’s largest rodeos in Reno, and main-stage performances at San Diego’s largest Oktoberfest celebration. Each year, Savoy also curates and hosts the sold-out Night of Willie Nelson Duets at the Belly Up Tavern in San Diego.
His latest album, DEAR WORLD, is available now on all streaming platforms. A follow-up release, SNAKES, is nearing completion, with new tracks scheduled for release beginning February 2026.

ZB Savoy Interview before his Night Of Willie Nelson Duets at The Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, CA.

Great fast-paced and upbeat song, featuring a toe-tappingly catchy rhythm that will get you up and dancing straight away. The guitar melodies suit the style of track well and are incredibly proficient, with the vocal style also suiting the country genre. The lyrical content is about a self-destructive spiral, consisting of the things in the title of the song.

Hello ZB Savoy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I am sort of a weird combination of businessman and musician. And those two sides of me have always seemed to be interconnected in a bit of a circular pattern.
